16" Wavy Clip In Extension System (10 pcs) by POP :: Put On Pieces

POP Wavy Synthetic Extensions are made from the finest quality synthetic fiber and are available in either straight or softly waved sets. The softly waved set is 18". Affordable, lightweight and easy to attach, these virtually undetectable extensions go in and out in minutes. Thin and fine hair becomes thick and full. Short hair transforms to long, luxurious hair. Both the straight and wavy sets consist of ten pieces in varying weft widths - (4pc: 1.5" wide, 2pc: 3" wide, 2pc: 6" wide, 1pc: 7" wide, 1pc: 8" wide)

**Note** These extensions are made with synthetic fiber and must be cleaned with synthetic fiber shampoos and cannot be styled with heat.

This is the hairpiece redefined. Celebrity stylist Ken Paves has created great styles you'll want to use everywhere. PutOnPieces give you the freedom to create versatile new looks in less time with less hassle. Simply beautiful, so realistic, the way to be your best.

Kanekalon Vibralite® simulates protein rich hair for a natural lustrous look and feel. This unique fiber blend allows highlights and lowlights, reflecting the multi-dimensional colors requested in today's better salons.

Gather the Necessary Tools

Duck Clips

Rat Tail Comb

Extension Wefts
Step 1: Practice Opening and Closing the Clip

With the clip side of the piece facing you, put both thumbs on each side of the clip and the index fingers at the front side of the piece. Snap the clip open by applying pressure toward yourself with the index fingers. Similarly, close the clip by applying pressure away from yourself with the thumbs.

Step 2: Practice Snapping on Hair

Using one of the 1.5" side pieces, practice attaching and removing the extension piece.

Step 3: Separating the Hair

Using a tail comb or your index fingers, practice parting the hair where you wish to attach the first extension.

Step 4: Start the First Part

The clip-in extensions should be attached from the bottom up. Starting at the lowest point on the hairline, and using the tail comb or your index fingers, create a part where you wish to section off the hair.

Step 5: Finishing the First Part

Move the tail comb or your index fingers under the hair and along the scalp until the hair is separated from the right to the left hairline.

Step 6: Clip Up the Hair Above the Part

Lift up all the hair above the part and clip it out of the way.

Step 7: Prepare the First Weft

Select one of the wider "back" wefts (if working with a complete kit, use the 6" width weft) and snap open all the clips.

Step 8: Placement of the First Weft

The clips should be placed on your own hair below the part so that that top of the weft is even with the part.

Step 9: Placement of the First Clip

The middle clip should be placed first by locating at the middle of the nape. Place the clip on your own hair just below the part. Moving the clip downward, catch your own hair in the clip and snap it shut.

Step 10: Placement of the Second Clip

The right clip is next. Holding the middle clip in place with your left hand, use your right hand to move the right edge of the weft as far as it will go around your head. As above, place the clip on your hair just below the part, and moving the clip downward, catch your hair in the clip and snap it shut.

Step 11: Placement of the Third Clip

Finally, to attach the left clip, hold the middle clip in place with your right hand, and use your left hand to move the left edge of the weft as far as it will go around your head. As in the previous two steps, place the clip on your hair just below the part, and moving the clip downward, catch you hair in the clip and snap it shut.

Step 12: Check for Gaps

Now that all three clips are attached, run your fingers along the weft to make sure it lies flat against your head along the entire width. If there are any gaps, correct this by snapping the clip open, lifting it off your hair and repositioning it so that the weft lies flat.

Step 13: Preparing to Place the Second Weft

This weft will be placed above the first weft. Release all the hair that was clipped out of the way in step six. Then, slightly above the weft that was just attached, make another part - as explained in steps 4 through 6.

Step 14: Placing the Second Weft

Repeating steps 7-12, attach the next weft. To complete a style, follow steps 4-12 for each weft attached. (When working with a complete kit, start at the lowest point with the two 6" wefts, then attach the 7" weft, and finally the 8" weft.)

Step 15: Placement of the side Wefts

The four 1.5" wefts are meant to be attached to the sides of your head. Using two for each side, attach the forst one just above the ear and the second one around the temple area.

Step 16: Removing the Wefts

To remove a weft, snap open all the clips and gently lift up and away from your hair.

 Remember
Never try to remove a weft without first opening all the clips. Pulling or tugging to remove a weft can result in damage to your own hair.

Cleaning Synthetic Hair
 Tip
Caring for your new hair product is easy, and you should treat your new product as an investment that you want to keep looking new and fresh for as long as possible. The correct care and maintenance will allow you to continue using the product with the best results for the longest amount of time. So, use the following instructions as a gauge for determining how and when you should wash and care for your products. And, know that you can always call 1-800-581-8206 and speak to a licensed cosmetologist for answers to all your questions.

Just like your own hair, synthetic hair will accumulate residue through normal wear. However, you do not need to wash the synthetic hair everyday to keep consistent results. The fiber should be washed as infrequently as possible or when you notice that the fiber appears dull. If you are wearing the hair all day, every day, you can wash them after 4-6 wearings.

Before shampooing, gently remove any tangles or teasing with your fingers or a pick comb. Do not brush.

Add one teaspoonful of any mild shampoo to two quarts cold - never hot - water.

Immerse the hair and soak 3-5 minutes, then gently swish up and down. Do not rub.

Rinse thouroughly twice in cold water.

Dab gently with a towel to remove excess water. Do not squeeze or twist.

While still wet, spray with a leave in conditioner that is specifically formulated for synthetic hair goods.

Dry on a towel at room temperature.

Style with fingers or pick comb. Do not use hair dryer, blow dryer or curling iron. Avoid excess heat. Do not brush or comb while wet.

Care Between Wear

Spray with a light mist of leave-in conditioner (specifically formulated for synthetic fiber) to keep your hair looking fresh and healthy.

Gently remove any tangles using your fingers or pick comb.

A water soluble hair spray may be used for a light hold.

Styling the Hair
 Remember
Blow dryers, curling irons and other thermal tools should not be used on synthetic fiber as the heat can melt the fiber.

Because the curl pattern (or lack of a curl pattern) is baked into the fiber, it is not necessary to set your synthetic hair after washing. However, if you wish, wet setting is the safest way to curl your hair.

You may want to have the hair custom cut to achieve your desired style. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CUT IT YOURSELF. Take your product to a salon professional.

Storing the Hair

It is best to store the synthetic hair in it's original container. However, you can store the hair in a plastic bag.

To keep the desired curl pattern, you may want to set the hair on rollers that conform to the curl size you wish to maintain before storing in plastic.

Do not sleep or swim while wearing the synthetic hair.

I recieved mine within 3 days of order. I love mine, I can put them in myself. All who have seen them love my hair even my husband. I would tell anyone and I have if your looking for an add style to your own get these.

I got my extensions a little over a week ago, and I am so disappointed! The "wavy" curl is more like a spiral curl, and the hair gets so tangled and matted... it looks and feels awful. I have purchased Pop products before and have always been happy with them, but this is the first time I bought the wavy 10 piece set. I bought two of them in two different colors thinking I would get a lot of use out of them, instead I blew my money... after only one week they are almost unwearable (it reminds me of a bad Halloween wig) On a positive note, the color was great and the shipping was really fast.... I also ordered a set of the mini clips with the intention to add a little volume to my extensions. I can not begin to describe the difference in product! The mini clips are absolutely perfect... they look, feel, and "wear" like real hair! I just ordered five more sets of the mini clips and plan on throwing my ten piece crap away!

I love this website, I have found many clip in hair extensions that i adore. My only problem with these is that they look too much like a spiral instead of a wave. I was hoping that would be clip in's like the jessica simpson 23' wavy hair, or look more like the picture. They do not. They are still pretty, they just don't look like the picture.
