Where To Part Hair

March 01, 2018

Are you one of those women who enjoys the simple pleasures of life like a normal hair part? Well, I’m here to tell you that you may be doing it wrong, girlie. In fact, depending on your face shape, you could be selling yourself short by only doing a normal hair part. You have so many choices, but how do you pick which on is the best for you? Keep reading to see the where to part your hair to match your face.

Where To Part Hair

Heart Face

Let’s start with the heart shaped face. Remember, heart-shaped face ladies have a widow’s peak and a point chin. Because you have that widow’s peak, a normal part or Kim Kardashian middle part makes for unappealing facial features. Your best option is to try a side part with bangs that can help to offset the appearance of stronger cheekbones.  Don’t be afraid to get deep with that parting!

Square Face

If you have a square face, changes are that you have a flat or squared chin and a wider face.  You go to part is the side part with bangs. Like the heart shaped ladies, having an off-centered part helps to soften the jawline. Also, where the heart shaped face ladies can have some wiggle room as far as how deep they take their part, you cannot. Too deep will bring too much attention to your jawline.

Diamond Face

Those with a diamond-shaped face have wide cheekbones, with the forehead and chin that are about the same width. Your part of choice: the side part without the added bang. Women with diamond-shaped faced have fantastic cheekbones. Don’t be afraid to let them show!

Oval Face

If you have an oval shaped face, then your face is similar to that of an egg. No, we don’t mean that you were called egghead in school. Instead, think of it like your face is just a smidget longer than it is wide, and your face is curvy to say the least. The best part about having an oval face is that you can rock any part that you choose. Your faces curves and shape make the Kim Kardashian middle part, normal hair part, or side part with bangs look good. Don’t let anyone call you an egghead-- as far as parting your hair is concerned, you’re definitely winning.

Round Face

Last but not least we have the round face. A round is similar to a square face with the difference being that your edges are curved and not strong. If you discover that your face is on the rounder side, then you can do either a middle part, or a deep side part. The reason these two work best is because they help to make your face appear longer. That’s not to say that you should want a long face, but, if you’re looking for symmetry, then one of those two parts are the way to go.

As you can see, face shape plays a huge role in how you should go about [parting your hair. What’s your favorite way to wear your part? Tel us about it in the comments!
